A weekly gathering held at Manilla CWA Hall, designed for women (15+) to learn and share arts and crafts skills. Participants engaged in sewing, weaving, jewelry-making, and more, while lunch and art supplies were provided free of charge. This inclusive environment combined Indigenous cultural elements with modern crafting techniques, creating a supportive space for social connection and creativity.

An energetic, family-friendly fun run at Viaduct Park in January, where participants started out wearing white and ended up covered in bright color powder. Organized by Bumbira Art & Culture and Tamworth LALC, the Colour Run offered a playful way to kick off the year with lively music, community bonding, and a rainbow of cheer for runners of all ages.

The Art & Yarn Tamworth group traveled to Armidale for a two-day cultural exchange, learning from local knowledge holders at the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place. Through storytelling, guided tours, and skill-sharing sessions, participants deepened their understanding of local heritage while building friendships across communities.

Organized in collaboration with Tamworth Local Aboriginal Land Council, the workshop featured sweet treats, holiday spirit, and creative flair—bringing people together in a cozy, joyful atmosphere.

Nundle Woollen Mill invites visitors to see how raw wool becomes soft yarn, all in a purpose-built, visitor-friendly space. Historic machines follow time-honored processes, revealing each step from fleece to knitting yarn. Ideal for groups, the experience welcomes all ages with easy access and captivating demonstrations.

Drawing dog enthusiasts from across New England North West, this lively family event in Nundle, NSW, celebrates canines of every breed and size. From races for mongrels and house dogs to high jumps and steeple chases, there’s something for everyone—capped by the thrilling working-dog showdown. Expect plenty of entertainment, kids’ activities, and delicious food throughout the day.
